Between the Red Cross and mosquitoes, my blood type is in great demand. Now, if only I could stop getting sick every time I gave, I’d gladly add to my 4 gallons given, so far.
Here’s THE statistic regarding blood donation: Only about 8% of the people qualified to give blood do so. Those of us that donate are aware of that stat, but those that don’t donate don’t realize how small the percentage is of those who could.

I’ve tried but locally there are only appointments for type AB and platelets. Makes no sense. I’m O+, it’s fairly useful stuff.

1959 Fort Dix NJ asked my blood type I wrote AB-. Type O put on my dog tags. Used to donate blood years ago, but now 86 I’m unable to donate.

Too old now but managed to give over 90 donations in my time. Even sold some while in some American ports, in my navy days to pay for.. entertainment.

i used to give all the time but now i have to take medication that they cant chance in an emergency. Already medicated blood is bad.
