I work with people with bad teeth who claim they can’t afford to get them fixed (or even brush them, apparently) yet they can afford a twelve pack every evening. Others claim they cannot afford a dependable car (the usual excuse being the government taxes them too much) but they have the latest cell phone and a premium package to run it. No doubt there are many who are truly impoverished, but there are many more who are truly selfish and overindulged and expect someone to continue to spoil them. I guess many of us really don’t realize just how good we have it. After all, we have the time and the means to type silly messages on a comic’s page comments section.
