    It depends on what the definition of main character is. If you, like me, think the main character is the cool antagonist, bad guy wearing a black hat, and you imagine being him, then it is true, for some reason the movie director seems to want the audience to be mad at them.

    This reminds me of the South Park episode where Cartman tries to take partial credit for the fishsticks joke that Jimmy came up with. Kyle tells Cartman that people with a messed up ego (like Cartman) can do mental gymnastics to make them think they’re cool. Then the episode has Cartman flashback to the moment Jimmy came up with the joke, and each scenario exaggerates the role Cartman played in coming up with it until he tricks himself into thinking he actually thought of it entirely without Jimmy. And considering how sociopathic Cartman’s character turned out to be, I guess I’m trying to say, RED FLAG.
