I believe I remember this exact conversation in third grade. (Maybe not the “kajillion” part. Almost the exact conversation, then.) That might have been a few years ago.

How about imaginary numbers?

With infinity there is always room for one more. Or one more than that.

And in high school, you can learn about the relative sizes of infinities.

There is always Google, or one followed by 100 zeros.

And then there’s Googolplex which is, forget about it. (0.o)

My wife says that she almost dumped me when we were first going out when I tried explaining that there was more than one kind of infinity. To be fair, we were hiking so I didn’t have a blackboard to make the proof more rigorous.

Two Infinity! And Beyond!

Inconceivable!

Really big numbers boggle my mind

Things like distances in space, the estimated number of grains of sand on any given beach, the federal deficit, …

It’s like getting to the end of the interwebs. Took me a long time
