When you fall off of the horse, get back on.

After a day of doing this. It’s time for some of Meemaw’s Hot Cocoa and fresh-from-the-oven Cookies! And something fresh for the kitten too.

I can relate to that. The first time I went parachuting, firmly attached to a professional, when the door of the plane opened, at about 4000 meters (13123 feet 4.315 inches), I said to myself: “ok, but never again”. As soon as we touched the ground I was already imagining how I could enjoy it more a second and a third time. Not done yet, for several reasons, but still in my mind.

I hear Baby Sinclair from “Dinosaurs”: “AGAIN!!!”

Got talked into Zip Lining. Wasn’t too thrilled, until after the first line, then, it just got better-n-better & the final ride down off the tower was suuuch a swooping, gliding, flying, “Freedom!!!” ride, it was unbelievable!

When I was a kid, I used to use the WWII aircraft observatory hill in my hometown for sledding. It was heavily tree-studded and ended in a stone retaining wall with a five foot drop. However, by using a snow shovel as a sled and the handle as a steering mechanism, I more-or-less survived.

Similar to getting blind eyed drunk, waking up with the mother of headaches and swearing “I will never do that again”…..until the next time.

Looks like fun!

This philosophy also applies to roller coasters.

Short attention span… keeping adrenalin rushes going for years

Reminds me of the first time I rode the Demon at Six Flags Great America. My best friend convinced me to try it once. If I hated it, at least I had tried it, right? With much trepidation, I boarded the assigned car and away we went. I was certain, we would either, 1) fall out, 2) stall upside down, or 3) I’d pee my pants out of fear. Needless to say, I laughed hysterically the entire time. Then I rode it 5 more times. LOVED it!!!

I have firmly resolved Never to jump out of a perfectly good Airplane.

Of course, since then, I have found myself flying in a couple Airplanes that were Not So Good.

Unfortunately, those did not come with Parachutes, either.

My Dad started his Army career as a paratrooper. I joined the Navy.
