Sheesh, Abby, you’ve got a problem here with your rat phobia. I get it, phobias of any sort aren’t fun—I have a few of my own—but letting it rule your life like this generally, in my experience, causes more problems than it resolves.
Besides, as a pet, that rat is probably more harmless than she thinks.
How irresponsible. Abby needs to set an example. Leaving the cage open then blaming her child for the incident, then leaving to let others fix her mess… Grr!
