So, that’s what “stacked like cord wood” looks like. I wonder where you find “cord” wood. I’ve seen oak, pine, palm and all that, but never “cord”.

Yep, take the stairs and then run!

Many building don’t let you take the stairs up in particular. In Brooklyn many parents lost their children at least for a time, because the elevators were so overworked they could not reach the family court.

OK, elevators are tested to 150% of their load capacity, but that is overdoing it a bit.

BTW, they do test elevators by putting their test load in the elevator and checking to make sure it runs, or fails.
