OT – New Years Wish

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!

:( I wish I could send some of our rain that way.

They will eat it when they get hungry enough.

Changing Cat Food brands unwillingly here, the store shelves in my area are bereft of 9 Lives in cans. Poodle and Pickle eat 9 Lives together on the kitchen floor. While Roy gets his “Fancy Beast” on the table to keep from getting his bowl crowded by the ladies. (esp. Poody who is a “foodaholic”) I’ve been forced to buy "Twin Pet and “Special Kitty” to feed those two, I could get them “Fancy beast” but that would break the bank here. It’s spending a $1.40 to feed two cats instead of 63 cents. I’m not cheap, just poor. And I feel even poorer when I go into the grocery store, imagine living in a time when the staples like Milk, Bread, and Eggs let alone meat are now “luxury items”

Puck is in crisis mode.

I’m not normally a health food person, but fried kale is quite tasty.

I think we have some upset cats. I hate when that happens. Nothing worse than an upset cat.

I wonder if the Woman’s cheerful demeanor is strategic . . .

The only thing i can focus on is the toe beans in the last panel, the cussing and screaming is background noise.

It’s already New Year’s Day in parts of the world where some of our commenters live, so Happy New Year to all those in time zones that have already broken in 2022. I know if I start naming names, I’ll leave somebody out. Eventually, this will apply to all time zones, but I’ll post one more when the new year reaches my time zone, if the wi-fi’s willing and the creek don’t rise. (Potential flooding for my area tomorrow.)

Healthy? Nope, never was healthy. More expensive, sure. Money clearly flushed down the drain? Yup. But not healthy.

When I brought home Oopsie from the colony, I would feed both him and Sebastian wet food. They both refused to eat it. So, I no longer waste the money on buying food that they won’t eat. I think for Oopsie, it reminded him of the “outdoor” time when he’d have to hid in order to feel safe enough to sleep. So now, they both eat the dry food. They do still get wet food, only in the mornings. They both tend to like the broth more than the chicken.

For reasons I cannot fathom, none of my cats, including the two current ones, have ever been picky eaters. Not that I am complaining, but am I the only one with this non-problem?
