Since when does Santa wear Grinch green gloves and sky blue boots/belt? Apart from that, what’s the point of stating the obvious? “World economy snapping back from a slowdown, problems will ensue.”
Strangely, some of the supply chain problem has quietly gone away. Last I saw (about a week ago), the backlog was down by 30% and continuing to fall. “It’s working, so it’s not news” … though I suppose from Gorrell’s point of view, that would be “MSM is hiding the truth”. Except that he doesn’t LIKE this particular truth because it might actually look like Biden’s administration was helping.
I’m wondering: Has Gorrell personally experienced any shortages — significant or otherwise, — or is he just trying to inflate something he “hears” about in the “news”. I know that I’ve had no problems in supply — and few in price, — but I also don’t feel obliged to buy “the latest” toys, either for myself of for my friends and relations.
In economic recoveries, especially in the early stages, demand almost always outpaces supply. With earlier Covid outbreaks in the countries where much of our goods is made (Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, etc.) that only increased the problem. With Omnicron (which is shaping up to be a very mild variant for the most part) spreading across the globe, my hope is that it will ultimately crowd out the more damaging Delta variant (still the dominant variant in North America, Europe and Asia) the way Delta crowded out the older variants earlier this year. Yes, cases are rising in the US, Canada and most of Europe but I am cautiously optimistic that the rise in cases will be a temporary one and will start falling again early in the new year. Weather that happens or not, I will continue to find some common ground about Covid, supply chain issues, etc. somewhere between Polyanna and Chicken Little.

Is the supply chain responsible for Gorrell’s lack of brains?

Goofy Gorrell seems to be several weeks late on this one. Must have been a supply chain problem of ideas.
