Actually, scientific thinking involves doing literature search to find out if (and if so, which) vaccines are effective / most effective. And magical thinking, as I think I understand it, involves doing things that aren’t proven effective in the belief that those actions are protective. Like the “faith” and “healthy” beliefs, but not so much the myth that vaccines may cause infertility. That one’s more on the order of “believing lies”.

I would not call it magical thinking. I would call it muddled thinking.

The brain on the right belongs to the republigoon cult and do not have the ability to think for themselves, just like some of the people who post here.

If one is infected and dies from CV-19 and its offspring, one’s fertility will definitely be affected.

It’s no big surprise that the most effected areas voted for Trump.

Natural immunity means picking up parts of the virus and then generating antibodies. Vaccine merely accelerates it. After the Black Death, there were still plagues, but fewer deaths each time. sixth-grade science

There is a large overlap between people who have not gotten the vaccine and people who voted for Trump. A Pro-Covid stance is part of the Republican Platform.

    https://acasignups.net/21/07/20/update-us-covid19-vaccination-levels-county

Republicans (except RINOs) buy into wishful thinking. Any fact or truth that makes them feel uncomfortable is met with “I don’t want that to be so it is fake news and a result of liberal media brainwashing.”

In the case of their Pro-Covid activities, they have been told that public health issues are a radical left, Nazi, socialist plot to take away their freedoms. So if all the liberals are Anti-Covid, they have to be Pro-Covid. It’s typical GOP, binary thinking.

It isn’t a matter that they are afraid that Bill Gates will track them, or that the vaccine causes Covid, or that it magnetizes your blood, or that it is made from dead fetuses, or that bleach or horse dewormer is better; this issue is all about “Owning the libs.”

It is difficult to argue with Covid-Jihadists (a term they would probably use if they were on the other side) when they are willing to sacrifice their lives and even their children’s lives for the cause.

Some more magical thinking: vaccines are magic potion that make people magically impervious to diseases. Therefore, if some vaccinated people get sick, that mean the vaccines are not effective!

And yet no-one is studying the effect that having Covid19 has on human fertility.

And by the time we realize how much recovering from Covid reduces human fertility, it will be too late. Of course not recovering affects human fertility even more. ;-)

That’s Gaia’s long game with Covid19. And I bet that Omicron’s fertility effects are still pronounced even while the overt acute effects are moderated – while amping up infectivity. I think Gaia’s got a winner, this time!

Before: “My faith will protect me” After they die: “Well, it’s because they didn’t have enough faith!” “Trinity” three-one-oil didn’t help either.

Funny, the main “argument from faith” that I’ve seen is that it will get you into heaven when Covid snuffs you. (Pretty much regardless of the kind of life you’ve been leading.)
