Probably a niece question here but, why has there not been anything in the news about these human rights violations?

Definitely bad behavior on the part of the Chinese bureaucrats. Definitely something that they consider entirely NOT our business. Much as we would have felt if foreigners started ragging on us about the way we treated the native folk (or the black ones) a generation or two ago. Or Australians vis a vis the First People. Is racial discrimination always easier to detect in other nations while not noticing or not regarding as an issue in your own nation?

I have to dissent with my liberal brothers and sisters on this one. China maybe over reacting, but the problem here as with Myanmar’s suppression of the Moslem Rohingya’s originates from the same source: ISIS and Al Qaeda guerilla insurgences. Funded by Saudi Arabia and trained as missionaries by the Wahabbis, then given military training in West Pakistan they are spreading their doctrines across the Middle east and south east Asia. Even the Taliban, for all its odious theology is at war now against ISIS who moved in right behind them. India has its problems that are originating in the Kashmir providence of East Pakistan. And we will not tell the Saudis to turn off the money spikket even after the same actors had attacked us on 9/11.

It’s weird how we supposedly care so much about the plight of the Uighurs, but seemingly care so little about the plight of the Central and South American migrants at our own border. The only way I know we’re the “good guys” compared to China is because …. reasons.

So they got the Olympics again, so soon?

Well, I hear we as a nation will be boycotting them, although individual athletes can go, and probably will.
