It is very apparent that Steve Beson did not watch the trial or do any research into what took place on that fateful night. Had he, he might have not drawn this image, disparaging a young man that did nothing more than defend himself and the community that he worked in. So, how about a few facts. Fact one, all of the reports that this young man “carried an assault weapon across state lines,” are 100% false (beside, what exactly is an "assault weapon?). Fact two, he was attacked by all three people that he eventually shot. The first person threw a liquid filled abject at him. As a side note, they had also been throwing “firebombs” and destroying public and private property all night. Then, that same person threatened the young man, stating he was going to take his weapon and kill him with it. He then proceeded to chase the young man into a “corner” where he was eventually shot and killed. As another side note, this attacker had a very long criminal record of child molestation and assault and battery. At this point, the young man ran to get the police (as could be heard on the videos). He was again threatened to be “crainiumed” (beheaded slang on the streets), and chased, where one person kicked him in the head and another hit him with a skateboard. The person with a skateboard than attempted to strike him again with the skateboard in the head, where he was shot and killed. Again, all of this is on the videos, if you bother to watch them (another side note, this person also had as long arrest record for assault and battery on persons and domestic abuse charges) Finally, a third person approached the young man, and pointed a loaded handgun at him. This person was shot and wounded (this person was illegally carrying a concealed weapon, and had a court order too not possess a weapon due to criminal activity).

Now, it could be debated that the young man should not have been there in the first place (although he claims he was hired by a car dealership to protect their property). But it also could be debated that the rioters should have not been there either, and should have been arrested the first night of rioting and stopped from destroying more private and public property. It could be debated that if a person carried a weapon into the artea, they would expect trouble, but most of the rioters also had weapons, including firebombs, clubs, bats, and even handguns. so, maybe they too should have not been armed, or been arrested immediately when they started “protesting.”
