There is considerable confusion in our cultural mythology about whether “Death” kills you or simply collects you. You know, like whether Santa Claus actually buys the gifts or just delivers them. :)
Personally, I’m questioning the intelligence of a person standing face, to face with a skeleton in a black robe, holding a scythe, and having to validate his identity.
