So, we are to believe that the Modern Stone Age used up those fossil fuels and left us none?

On the bright side our new primitive cars should be cheap and they shouldn’t catch fire like the electric cars Elon Musk sells. Fred Flintstone should start his own car company. The motto should be: “Cheap cars and feet powered”.

The good old days lasted for about a century, a short run by historical standards. My father, born in 1915 and now deceased, remembered his father’s horse and wagon.

Not to worry Fred.. remember the propane craze. EV’s will become a niche market until they come up with a better way to make electricity and upgrade the grid to supply it.

If you miss them, you shouldn’t have been wasteful with a limited resource.

Fossil fuels will have to be around globally for quite awhile yet. Only through an attrition process and full global cooperation will it be replaced. The technology used in electric vehicles is amazing and evolving, and should/needs to be the future. The costs will sort itself out as more units are marketed and improved. My main concern is, what is the plan to depose of millions and decades of combustion vehicles and all other service types of small engines as they are forced into obsolescence.

Hanna-Barbera should sue for misuse of their cartoon for right wing propaganda.

Why are people so wedded to the idea that gas powered vehicles are the only way to go?

Yeah, the good ol’ days before pollution controls, seat belts, and speed limits. And SO many needless deaths.

Will the Govt subsidize the immense local electric distribution infrastructure required by large apartment complexes to enable hundreds of plug-ins across their huge parking lots? How about street parkers in large cities? Talk about prime parking spot envy!

I’m all in on future EV’s, they can be Stupid Fast! The Brits developed a Battery Powered Propeller driven Plane that reached nearly 400 mph.

Y’know what I’m going to miss? The smell and sound of a roaring over-sized engine on a “pickup” truck that stands taller than my garage doors, driven by someone with fragile masculinity. Because, dammit, a nice quiet electric vehicle with better acceleration and traction just doesn’t punch me in the gut (and lungs) like it SHOULD!

Anyone dumb enough to believe we will be able to have vehicles powered by electricity without a viable source of generating electricity had better stop denying the truth…. and buy a pair of shoes with very thick soles.
