The one good thing about the higher fuel prices is no one is teasing me about my little inexpensive fuel efficient little hatchback anymore.

I get that gas prices are going up around the world, but about the only thing the government can do is dip into the strategic reserve. Which they have.

If high gas prices make people drive less, that means less CO2 in the atmosphere. And that’s a good thing, isn’t it? Climate change and all that? Remember? Say… why don’t we value gas accurately, and include in its price the costs of all the damage it has done, and continues to do to the environment? Climate change, and all that- remember? And if those high gas prices are getting you down, STOP DRIVING THAT GAS-BURNING CAR.

Back in the 70s when gasoline was hard to find at any price I took out 1963 Buick special SW to a gas station in overland Park KS that did car repairs. I was leaving it there so it could be worked on the next day. People pulled into the station thinking it had gas. They were disappointed when I pulled out a ten speed bike, I told the folks I was just leaving the car there for repairs. Riding home on a busy 4 lane Metcalf [route 69] was nearly hit since there were no bike lanes. Later sold the bike & bought a 1971 Honda 350 motorcycle as a 2nd car.

Oil prices are falling with the news of the Omicron variant. I suppose if everything gets locked down again, you’ll see low gas prices again as well, just like last time.

Funny, but our prices here in Kentucky came down over a nickel a gallon over the last week…

High gas prices doesn’t deter most people from driving. With all the large and high performance vehicles racing from stop light to stop light you think gas was $1.00 a gal.

Instead of the Republicans raising speed limits, (Oklahoma highways and tollways have been increased to over 70mph) should they decrease the speed limits to conserve fuel. The faster one goes the more air resistance one has to overcome thus lowering fuel economy.
