A University students nightmare if studying political history and English literature… “Mein Kampf” , “Lolita”, “Lady Chatterlay’s Lover”, “Ullyses”, “Madame Bovary”…Anyone hearing their book titles would think them a neo nazi, pervert and pedophile, despite these books being part of at least some schools curriculum.
I’ve never figured out the “advantage” of having a book read to you as an adult. I read 1200 wpm. I listen at the same speed as everyone else. Now I buy a lot of dramatic performances sold by the audio book people but not readings.
