Both the Rittenhouse and McMichael-Bryan killings are the result of decades of NRA propaganda
Blame the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the gun industry, which has had a massive assist from the right-wing media. For decades, the gun lobby has fought a battle on two fronts — through law and propaganda — to redefine the American concept of “self-defense” away from the sensible one and towards one that encourages people to seek out violent conflict. They’ve empowered every insecure yahoo in the country to recast himself as a hero in an action movie, who goes out hunting for bad guys under the guise of “protecting” the community. Of course, in the real world, bad guys aren’t as easy to find as they are in the movies, and so there’s the ever-present temptation to round up people who aren’t actually threats — lefty protesters armed with skateboards and Black men out for a jog — into the role of the villain, to make those violent fantasies come true.

Charles Manson, former alter boy, who loved dune buggies and idolized The Beatles, arrived in Los Angeles with dreams of recording success. A thwarted record deal and an address mix-up led to him expressing his grievances in a way that many have issues with.
Jeffery Dahmer, a young man who grew up in Wisconsin. A shy, polite, loner who lived with his grandmother. Jeffery liked to go bar-hopping — where he occasionally brought home people for dinner.
Miscarriage of justice. I suspect that he couldn’t have gotten a fair trial where it was held, and I’m SURE he didn’t get a fair trial with that judge in charge. Sure wish he HAD gotten justice, though.
Darrell Brooks, the career felon who plowed into a Christmas parade killing 5 (so far) Dancing Grannies and injuring 40 others (including children) while fleeing the scene of his latest domestic violence complaint to avoid the police was given a light weight bond is supported by Dopey Joe, AOC, Maxine Waters and Al Sharpton on Jesse Jackson. He is going to plead self defense against the White Supremacists who were attacking him with their walkers. Let’s Go Brandon
