I think the real problem with a silencing spell is that it makes it too eazy. Remembering that not all thoughts need to be vocalized is the actual challenge here, and if it’s enforced by magic rather than her own diligence, I worry Marigold might not learn anything from the experience.

Still missing the spider.

Marigold will learn to express herself with her eyes. Just hope she doesn’t overdo it with the eyerolls.

And just think—Phoebe’s going to have very little context for this once she finds out Marigold is, for some reason, not speaking for a week.

I’m sure Marigold’s going to find a way to convey the basics to her regardless, but the initial few moments of it still ought to be amusing.
