Remember when Republicans tried to run that campaign bus off the road n Texas and faced zero consequences? There seems to be a moral to that story somewhere.
Ah, Breen has swung back to the Reich wing populist BS again. Blame what the corporations that have made hundreds of billions in net profits ever single year for decades (but still get federal subsidies every single year) have done on the only administration in the past 5 years that has tried to look after all Americans and not just the oligarchy. Breen likes to feed more populist lies to people instead of admitting that the wealthy individuals and corporations should pay their fair share in taxes and that the mess the reThuglicans have crafted for decades isn’t going to simply vanish without time and some hard work being invested.
Simple minded love simple ideas but Breen isn’t telling you that cleaning up decades of toxic Congress and the previous and incredibly toxic WH is going to take a little longer.
Not feeling sorry for the people that bought pickup trucks when they should have bought a sedan or maybe a small SUV. Don’t feel sorry for those people one bit. It’s because of them that pickups have gotten outrageously priced making it difficult for people that actually need them to afford them. Also they are made for male egos and not user friendly for practical use.
We now have accounts of a former 4 star General calling people in the Pentagon and telling them that they need get Soldiers to size ballot boxes and yet an extra 50 cents a gallon is the most important issue to Americans?

Wow, we’re not even past the first year of Biden’s Presidency, and already the pundits are seeing its demise. Steve, too, is prophesying doom on Biden/Harris, but should the Build Back Better bill become law, all such pronouncements will be nil. What’s more, Dems might just be able to reverse the trend of flipping the controlling party to the opposition with the coming off-year election. Since the Trump presidency, all political rules are changed, and not necessarily for the advantage of Repubs.
The price of oil was so low in 2020 that oil companies shut down drilling and laid off workers. After enough people got vaccinated and were able to go out again, demand went up faster than the oil companies could cover.
Since Biden is no longer campaigning, his campaign bus is parked and is using no fuel. The RV probably gets worse fuel mileage than the compact car, but the compact car probably gets driven almost every day while the RV only gets used occasionally. So my answer to “Which vehicle could be most impacted by high gas prices?” would be the compact car.
Do I win? Or does my answer automatically get cancelled because this is a GQP cartoon?
Well, Breen does have a point. Regardless of the cause for inflation or the rise in gas prices, whoever is sitting in the White House will be blamed. Of course, there’s not much Biden can do about it, since the primary cause is more demand than supply; in classic Keynesian economics, that means the price must rise. And rise it has. The refineries that reduced production during the pandemic in response to reduced demand will need to ramp back up, which happens slowly, but also the price of oil internationally will have to come down, and that unfortunately is completely outside Biden’s control. OPEC is rather proud of not answering to America, although sometimes they will quietly agree to things, if it is in their interest.

Really??!!! Does anyone believe that in three years, the gas prices will be as high or higher?? If you are one of the MAGAt’s, I’m sure you do!!!

How if at all are vehicles generally “impacted,” by what passes in America for “high gas prices,” except perhaps by being driven a little less?

Yes, inflation hurts the incumbents, regardless of who REALLY caused the problem.

Gas was $2.83 last night on the way home. Biden should make sure to fill up here.

Won’t affect the Biden/Harris bus. It runs on “hot air”.

The cartoon is not about burning gasoline and vehicle efficiency, it’s about the impact of rising gas prices on the 2024 election

Looking closely, that bus appears to be a hybrid.

Not to worry – EVs will solve the problem, like it or not.

The problem is global. Gas prices on post: $3.48/gal. Gas prices on the local economy $5.95/gal.
Other Countries:
USD
South Korea $5.95
Japan $5.53
Germany Frankfurt $5.57
France Paris $5.54
Portugal Lisbon $5.35
Canada Alberta $4.19
Hungary Budapest $4.94
I guess if you want to find cheaper gas, you can always go to one of these places:
Saudi Arabia Riyadh $0.91
Kuwait Kuwait City $0.78
Egypt Cairo $0.65
There is a reason for this. It’s called the pandemic.

This has nothing to do with Biden or “climate change policy” and everything with global supply and demand.
