Never had to do it. But did get a real warm feeling when the Doc told me after my heart operation that I couldn’t go back to work. When the boss sent me an email saying if I didn’t come back immediately he wouldn’t be able to keep me on the team, it made me feel even warmer when I wrote back that I wouldn’t be coming back. Haven’t worked a day since and that was 20 years ago. Ratty assed boss but excellent cardiologist!

Actually firing a person face to face is a sobering event. I’ve had to do it about three times and it’s very sad.
