Had this experience earlier today. They did give an option to leave a message and they would get back to me. Their office is now closed & hey I’m still waiting.
There is an office in town which uses the local oldies radio station for their music. Then, just as you are getting into a song, they will pick answer.
The one I have the most aggravation from is my doctor’s ‘noise.’ There is a little music between commercials for the hospital services. The guy running off at the mouth is louder than anyone who is actually going to answer. That means that I get to hold it far away from my ear until I hear a quieter voice. One has to be quick so they don’t hang up on you.

I’ve actually heard some pretty good hold music. I was tempted to ask them to put me back on hold.
