Varvel, please do tell us which grade schools were teaching CRT. And do tells us how the Democrats are responsible for inflation. Or maybe you are just lying and maybe you should shut the **** up.
Terry McAuliffe told them that there was no CRT in grade schools, which was true, but (we now realize) the wrong thing to do, because they know there is… so he was clearly lying. His better move would have been to embrace it, promise an elite educational committee to seek it and root it out tooth and toenail. Of course he should also not have been running against Trump…
As for inflation, yeah, whoever’s in the white house when inflation hits gets blamed. That’s neither fair nor right, but it IS clearly what happens.
Varvel perpetuates the false CRT meme. CRT is not taught in public schools, Period. People who believe that are easily manipulated idiots.
Generally, Virginia and New Jersey go for the opposing party the year after a presidential election. The real story is that New Jeresey managed to buck that trend for the first time in 44 years.
The cartoon is just trash, just not the way Varvel envisioned it.
Republicans love parents … unless you want your kids vaccinated, or paid parental leave, or universal pre-kindergarten, or anything else. But they will fight to the death to protect your precious little snowflake from being traumatized by having to read Toni Morrison in school.
In 1946 a Republican wave swept through the elections (this was when soon-to-be infamous Joseph McCarthy was elected in Wisconsin). People were impatient with strikes, inflation, and other disruptions as the nation and economy transitioned from wartime to peace. Same old wine in a brand new bottle.
Inflation wasn’t an issue in the Virginia election. CRT was a bogeyman created by Republicans as their new Willie Horton, designed to scare White voters. That it worked says more about the gullibility of Whites in America than anything else. They’re a bunch of snowflakes despite all their built-in advantages in this society.

Roy L. Brooks should sue every politician who claim that CRT was being taught in schools that were not teaching it.

Hey! Are those schools going to teach “Critical STEM Theory”? If so, I’ll be home schooling my kids.

CRT is a racist right wing lie, it was not being taught in Virginia.
Republicans voted for the racism.
