It’s a cycle. The length of any given cycle, and the various aspects change every time around. But if I were you, I’d be expecting MORE extremes than I grew up with… trending unevenly toward warmer.

I remember (in the late 50s) when snow drifts covered the schoolyard fence.

Trouble now is the pandemic is keeping the snowbirds away from the Greater Palm Springs area. Hard on our economy.

I may see frost once every four years.

We’re just into fall here.

So?

and he doth not bring Good Tidings but rather a nor’ eastern and all its dire trimmings for all bad boys and girls….and bah humbug on holiday civilities.

And he’s gonna overstay his welcome,no doubt.

Late indeed.

We used to have 11 months of winter and a month with no skating. Dag nab it. Wup happened?

Okay. Time to launch into a festival of ‘’it was so cold …’’ starting NOW. Go!

High 20s at night where I live but no snow. I’d say it’s on schedule.

Mother nature does what she wants. Remember that Greenland was farmed for potatoes a thousand years ago. It was named Greenland because it was green.

This week was our first with highs below 90. I’ll take it.

About 6º this morning and might get to 10º later today, but it won’t freeze tonight. Probably a 4 or 5 cat night again. We put flannel sheets on last Saturday night and the cats have been trying to get under them every night. They will have to make do with getting under the comforter and be in some layer above the top sheet. Right now they are all under the wood burning stove warming up their engines after having a filling first breakfast of tuna in oil. It’s good for the fur. And another good thing about this late fall morning? No 2:30 AM hairballs. Now to walk the doggos. TTFN

90º in Tucson today… those kind of temps used to be gone by early October.

Depends on where you are. Its November 6 here in Colorado and 72 degrees.

In the ditch, no snow, must be booze or too much pot.

Folks here in Southeastern Wisconsin have gotta’ a lot of respect for Old Man Winter. Hoping for a mild winter but expecting the worst. Snowthrower tuned up and ready to go! Bring it!
