It was a tragic accident with a prop gun. Lester doesn’t know the difference between acting and reality.

I enjoy watching Lester categorizing “an industry” as having a unified front about … anything. Not very much, but yeah, definitely a smidge of enjoyment.

Sounds like you want to scapegoat Alec Baldwin

Oh how funny. Mike Lester uses the occasion of a woman’s shooting death to score cheap laughs via flimsy wordplay. What a class act.

BTW, this is apparently the third gun prop related death in at least forty years, meaning the industry has a lower body count than any other activity that uses guns regularly.

Who ever loaded that gun needs some prison time. There are not accidental discharges of weapons, just plain carelessness. The actors need to trust the people that hand them a weapon that it is safe for them to handle and discharge.

I’m sure Alec is getting all the support he needs, but this is the kind of thing PTSD is born from. It’s not something a good person can shake off.

Such a terrible and preventable tragedy.

Lester, you and your tribe are consistent. You believe that you have humorous political satire from an accidental death and smugly distort the related facts.

Interesting that they had a Weapons Master on set instructing them on safety and handling of the weapon. Goes to show you that guns are not the simple tools that “arm yourself to the max” gun freaks are still wrong. Scores a point for more weapons safety and mandatory training BEFORE you become a gun owner.

GOP twists everything to their own purpose…..that’s their specialty! Deflect, deceive, and lie!

If the public really was against gun violence there wouldn’t be so many shoot-‘em-up cop shows during prime time TV.

Many gun deaths are caused by accidents, this one is added to them. Many other gun deaths are caused by someone killing people they know, not defending themselves against robbers/burglars.

Well stated toon Lester. Unfortunate for Baldwin and those involved, you know he has to be hurting for what he did. Someone really screwed up on that set and hope it gets resolved. It’s hard though to make jest of such an event even though this toon conveys Hollywood’s anti gun politics.

Props don’t kill people; PEOPLE kill people.

This cartoon is simply disgusting. Not clever in execution or decent in concept.

Malicious Mike is at again. It takes a truly “special” person to make a joke of a tragedy like this. But, then again, he’s part of the strain of right wing thought that decries the loss of innocent life when it comes to abortion, but shrugs at children gunned down in their classrooms.

Lester, you make me want to puke!

Lester only cares when someone is killed with a gun if he can gloat about it.

“Shooting resumes tomorrow”. I wonder whom Alec will shoot next – the make up artist, stuntman, gaffer?

I wondered how long it would take for conservatives to make light of this tragedy. I’m not wondering anymore.

Trumpers jeer Baldwin because he mocked Trump on SNL, and of course they exaggerate his accident into premeditated murder…

What happened on the set of that movie was an unfortunate but natural accident. I am way more concerned about the mass shootings and the fact that guns are still too damn easy to get!

Accidental shootings on Hollywood sets are so incredibly rare that they’re really big news when they happen. Accidental shootings outside Hollywood are so common they seldom make the news at all.

That’s why you don’t give an idiot a gun.

I think a gun which can be fired and kill somebody isn’t a “prop” gun.

Where did you get the idea that the movie industry is anti-gun? Most of their blockbusters show guns as the solution to just about every problem. John Wick anyone?

Nobody ever accused actors of being smart.
