Joe’s a politician. Has any politician EVER done the “under promise” half of the old saying?

And of course, he wouldn’t be coping with all those lowered expectations if he had a half-way decent Senate. And yeah, you folks over on the obstructionist side can giggle about which half.

New polling from Gallup shows that Biden’s approval rating dropped from 56% in Q1 to 44.7% in Q3 which represents an 11.3% drop that has not been experienced by any president since World War II.

It amazing how many comments by people on the right seems to imply that we have only one branch of government. Our government should be a government of compromise, but there are too many that it believe that they or their party are the only one that matter. At least Biden is trying to improve the lives of Americans and is willing to get something if he can’t get everything.

At least Joe and the Dems are working to raise our expectations that our government will provide the kind of base realities of all the other industrial countries in the world. On the other hand the GQP has for generations been busy lowering expectations by undoing the New Deal: they have spread right-to-work across the nation crippling the unions, they have given subsidies to companies that move their operations to “developing” countries where slave labor persists, they have lavished subsidies on the oil and farming industries, they protect “too big to fail” banking conglomerates and have advocated privatizing the so called “entitlements” (Social Security, Medicare, Military pensions, Medicaid) or doing away with them entirely.

Lisa accepts another paycheck for a humorless mundane stagnant and meaningless toon which ignores the expert propagandists and obstructionists of the GOPQ who are doing everything they can to overthrow our Democracy in its current form.

The only good Karma that will result is that the stupid poor people who are suckered into these beliefs will get the worst of it over the next decade IF the Dems lose both houses in 2022.

Let’s not forget to thank the SCOTUS who will be making the path easier as they claim that it is the laws and Constitution that are the basis for their decisions, and certainly not their religious and ideological beliefs.

Biden has said his entire career that he is a negotiator, he likes to work deals with the other side. He said that again during the campaign. Any good negotiator goes into talks asking for more than what they want. Room to negotiate. Did Biden expect $3.5 trillion? I think he’d have had a coronary if that went through. Biden knows his opposition, knows his own party. He knew the give and take needed. $1.5 trillion is huge, and likely about where he thought he’d wind up. I think he knew all along.

I’m not expecting the price of gas / energy to go down. – I’m not expecting that open job positions are going to get filled. – I’m not expecting that the price of food is going to remain the same or go down. – I’m not expecting that mandates are going away any time soon. – I’m not expecting that kids are going to be getting any better at math. – I’m not expecting the supply chain is going to start rolling again. This is the first administration I’ve ever heard say something like “Lower your expectations.” Not very inspirational.

Also odd how conservatives are surprised and incensed that they rarely get exactly and everything that they want…

Biden (being the most politically experienced President in history, having been a Congressman, Senator and VP before becoming a President) surely knows the saw, “You lead with the Congress you have, not the Congress you wish you have”. I’m sure he’d rather not have a Senate with the Democrats in a razor-thin majority. If they can eliminate the filibuster and replace it with a straight up and down vote, perhaps they can get some stuff done and then say to the American people that they got stuff done. Perhaps then, in next year’s midterms, they can expand their majorities in the House and Senate and put themselves in a good position for 2024. But the ball is in their court and we’ll see if they can pull some weight. But I’m an optimist by nature and they can still pull it off.

Biden is doing a great job on ILLEGAL immigration. Funny I don’t remember an influx of unvaxed, unvetted, ill-treated illegals as part of his promise but boy is he delivering; to a closed border no less. Less exporting of capitalism and more mass importing of immigrants. I see no negative implications at all. Wow he is a magical genius.

Texas braces for the ‘mother of all caravans’: 1,000 state troopers and Texas Rangers deploy to the border as 3,000 migrants prepare to arrive in daysAbout 3,000 migrants, including 250 children, are marching from southern Mexico to the country’s border with the United States.

Migrant Children Languished in Filthy Conditions Under Eye of Untrained Contractors, Whistleblowers SayTwo federal whistleblowers say they witnessed conditions that “caused physical, mental, and emotional harm affecting dozens of children” at the largest of the government’s shelters for migrant youths.

JOE CONCHA: It was just a disaster of a day for a president that’s having a disastrous 10 months. … He desperately needs a win because there haven’t been any wins up to this point.

It’s the fifth time now that he keeps telling this (Amtrak) story. So one would think that his chief communications advisor in Jen Psaki would step in and instruct him ‘maybe we don’t go down this road anymore,’ because you can be fact-checked on this, you sound foolish when you’re talking about it and I don’t even know what the point is of telling that story in the first place. So yeah, don’t cough in your hand and then shake people’s hands, don’t tell young school children ‘run from people who want to hold you accountable.’

President Joe Biden will have a $457,000 taxpayer-funded fence built around his $2.7 million summer home in Cape Henlopen. This month, it was reported that Biden had canceled border wall contracts in two areas of high illegal immigrant crossings — the Laredo and Rio Grande Valley sectors. Biden will cancel walls that protect you, but he will order walls to protect his vacation home. This is something that should outrage everyone. As with his aversion to wearing masks in public places, Biden is a hypocrite when it comes to using walls for security.

The HYPOCRISY of this proclamation and the un challenged vax status of illegal immigrants pouring over the southern border is mind numbing but typical.

The proclamation signed by Mr Biden on Monday says that airlines will be required to check travellers’ vaccination status before they can board departing planes.

“It is in the interests of the United States to move away from the country-by-country restrictions previously applied during the Covid-19 pandemic and to adopt an air travel policy that relies primarily on vaccination to advance the safe resumption of international air travel to the United States,” Mr Biden’s proclamation says.

Airlines must confirm that the proof of vaccination comes from an “official source” and was received at least two weeks prior. Any vaccines approved by US health regulators will be accepted.

Unvaccinated travellers, including Americans, will have to show a negative Covid test taken within one day of departure.

To deport all unauthorized migrants would cost hundreds of billions of dollars. America is tolerating illegal immigration. On the southern border, however, some border agents are disgusted with the situation and considering leaving over the administration’s “welcome to America” policies and sharp rise in apprehensions. The August figure of close to 210,000 is the highest monthly total of migrant encounters at the southern border since March 2000. More than 1 million encounters have occurred year-to-date during the current fiscal year 2021. In addition, an estimated 600,000 migrants have been released into the U.S. this year with notices to appear or report, which has encouraged others to try to cross the border. Also, hundreds of thousands have escaped into the country, recorded as “got-aways,” without any processing. Except for the relatively small numbers who have been convicted of crimes, the arrest and repatriation of millions of migrants residing unlawfully in the U.S appear unlikely and the deportations of unauthorized migrants are at a record low. Recently issued administration guidelines instruct immigration officials to no longer detain and repatriate migrants based on their illegal status alone. The focus is on those who pose a safety threat, taking into account “advanced or tender age” individuals as well as the effect on the person’s family.Irrespective of one’s views about offering a pathway to U.S. citizenship to unauthorized migrants, it should be clear that doing so sends a clear message to others who may consider illegal immigration in the future. – Joseph Chamie is a consulting demographer, a former director of the United Nations Population Division and author of numerous publications on population issues

Biden’s Absurd Gender Strategy – National ReviewJoe Biden and Kamala Harris have no clue how to deal with the many crises their administration has created, exacerbated, or failed to get under control, but as of last Friday they now have a 42-page gender strategy. Gender strategy? The Biden gender strategy is a tired reiteration of longstanding Democratic Party strategy: convince most Americans that they’re oppressed minorities, and that only federal action can right all wrongs. In reality, American women are largely alarmed by the same cascade of woes that concern men: the never-ending toll from COVID, inflation, the border crisis, supply-chain delays that are denuding store shelves just in time for Christmas, the way our children are being educated. The gender strategy won’t deflect the public’s attention from the Biden administration’s abysmal record on all of the above.

From Tucker Carlson Show:So why are they coming, we don’t need to guess about that. Ask the people who are coming here illegally. They’re not embarrassed to articulate it at all. They’re coming because they know immigration enforcement under Joe Biden has been suspended in the United States. The White House hasn’t simply ended workplace raids. They’ve also stopped turning people away at the border. So people just come in and they know they’ll never be forced to leave.

Already, the administration has released more than 160,000 illegal migrants into the country, with no supervision whatsoever without telling the people into whose neighborhoods they’re moving because they don’t care what American citizens think. By the way, how many are vaccinated? You can’t go to events, you can’t have a job in this country without being vaccinated, but if you come here illegally, no problem. What does that tell you? Now, tens of thousands of those migrants, according to documents obtained by Fox News, have already received work permits. Right. Soon they will receive free benefits and the health care that Joe Biden has promised them. That’s why they’re coming again. Just ask them and they’ll tell you.

Joe Biden, August 2020: There will not be another foot of wall constructed on my administration.

Oh, except around my vacation house in Delaware. Hypocrite. But it’s more than hypocritical. It’s criminal and not in a rhetorical sense. Joe Biden is actively and intentionally breaking federal law, even as he works to protect himself and his own family from the consequences of these lunatic policies.

Presidents have been impeached for less than that. In fact, no American president who ever has been impeached, not Andrew Johnson, but Richard Nixon, not Bill Clinton. Not even Donald Trump has ever even been accused of crimes This flagrant or this serious, not even close.

According to new court documents, between January 20th and the end of March, just, for example, the Biden administration refused to take custody of 37 illegal immigrants in the state of Texas. Many people had additional criminal records, according to an affidavit from a Texas sheriff. The administration refused to detain even suspects believed to have committed aggravated sexual assault and narcotics violations at the height of a drug epidemic that’s killing almost 100,000 Americans every year. So it’s really clear this is not simply an incredibly dangerous and destructive policy that intentionally hurts America, and it is that no, it’s more, though it’s an unequivocal violation of federal statute. It is, in other words, a crime. It’s a crime.

From Chad Wolf:At the end of the day, the Mexican government is also very upset with the Biden administration. They are upset with the policies, the asylum regulations and everything the Biden administration has pulled back because it’s making it more difficult for them to do their job at the end of the day. I think the Biden administration has a real problem on its hands, not only working with the Mexican government but with other governments in the region. They are concerned about what they’re seeing and about these caravans and this mass migration. It’s because of the pull factors, it’s because of the messaging, and the policies of this administration.
