I’m in favor of granting religious exceptions only for people who promise to self isolate according to their religious beliefs. With an ankle monitor. Actual medical exemptions are fine.

Those religious unvaxxed faithful don’t need science behind them, they are protected by their fictional deities.

I’m pretty sure I missed it — what religion(s) prohibits getting vaccinated?

Besides the one where Trump is Your Messiah, I mean.

Every mask-less unvaccinated human prey specimen is a walking, breathing, uncorked test tube full of liquid Virus Chow. You can practically hear the chuck wagon triangle and “Come And Get It!”

I believe that a religious exemption is warranted, if the claimant can show that his is the One True Religion. Without that, any government allowances for religion (exemptions, tax preference, etc) is just abetting fraud.

Why isn’t he double-masked?

Those who are anti-vax, anti-mask, anti-everything, speak with such certainty of their “rights”. Why is there no similar discussion of their RESPONSIBILITIES?

All this vaccination nonsense must be boosting membership in the Jehovah Witness congregations. I “think” they are the only ones that have goofy rules about medical interventions.

My fervent hope is that Kyrie gets the virus and, after an excruciating illness, dies. One less regressive to spread lies.

It’s Darwinian, really. Survival of the fittest. I really do hope those who spread lies about the virus simply get it and die. Those too stupid to get vaccinated, but don’t make it their practice to spread lies are in a different category. But I have zero compassion for those who spread lies. We’re well on our way to getting through the pandemic because of the vaccines.

Enormous credit and sincere gratitude goes to the researchers who have been working on these vaccines since SARS. But people like Kyrie deserve nothing but contempt.

This is getting tiresome.

The Constitution permits people to practice their religions. Some (Cristian Science is one that I know of) have strictures against some types of medical practices. That has allowed them to get out of vaccines. It’s not a big enough group to have much impact on a population that has herd immunity.

The thing is NO ONE is being forced to take the vaccination. No one will come to your door with the police to forcibly inject you or yours. You are given a choice, get the shot or face restrictions on what you can do in society. Vaccines are not an unheard of requirement, children need to be vaccinated to attend school. Nurses are often required to get an annual Flu vaccine. You will not be permitted into some countries without proof of vaccination for a slew of diseases.

Why is Covid any different?

Pay for your needless, stupid death from COFID and I won’t care if you die multiple times if possible. I resent having to squander scarce health funds after a stupid makes you sick.

Last I heard the government can require that you wear pants when you go out in public. If you stay at home, you don’t have to wear pants.

Maybe if there were a religion where their scripture said “Thus saith the Lord vaccines are a sin”, I could see an argument for religious exemptions. But there isn’t, so there shouldn’t be any.

There is no real religion that forbids vaccination, except maybe the Christian Science movement.

For some people, religion trumps science every time…

Jehova’s Witnesses traditionally — as I understand — refuse medical treatments that involve someone else’s bodily fluids such as blood transfusions. They were once fully opposed to vaccinations. But even THEY say get vaccinated against covid.

Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, a Trump backer who offered a minimum of $25,000 to anyone who could find evidence of voter fraud in the 2020 election, has finally paid out his first bounty – to a progressive who found evidence of Republican foul play.

The unlikely recipient, Eric Frank, a poll worker from Chester County, Pennsylvania, is set to collect the $25,000 minimum, according to The Dallas Morning News. Frank reportedly caught sight of 72-year-old Republican voter Ralph Thurman attempting to vote twice – once for himself and once for his son, a registered Democrat. Thurman pleaded guilty last month to repeat voting. He was sentenced to three years probation and is now prohibited from voting for the next four years, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Not everyone is falling for that Religious exemption. Seriously, I dare anyone to find anywhere in anyone’s ancient fairy tale, er, religious texts that has anything against vaccinations or healthcare in general. I mean solid sentences, not interpretations of ‘what they really meant.’

There are over 700,000+ who might disagree with you if they weren’t dead. I won’t disagree with you, because I don’t waste my time arguing with stupid people. I got a booster this morning.

Well, 600,000 plus COVID dead victims might beg to differ with you as they have lost ALL their rights.

You have the right to contract COVID-19, get sick and die. You do NOT have the right to contract COVID-19 and infect others, who may become sick and die.

It’s amazing how many “so called” experts on virology and communicable diseases have time to hang out and embarrass themselves in the GoComics comment pages instead of doing real research. (Laughing at you, not with you).
