Just as there was a tiny sliver of hope that 45 was playing the nincompoop to get the votes but would be a rational president, so too is there any real hope that Youngkin dwells in reality. Our political system has degenerated into a populist beauty contest with capable accomplished people having no place in politics. Only those that can appeal to the extremists and conspiracy theorists and treat intelligence/logic as negatives seem to have success in American politics. Our mutually exclusive binary political system makes excellent altruistic governing virtually impossible with too much emphasis on our differences and none on our common needs.

no-willie makes a joke about the rule maker not following the rules while he continues to lick the boots and butt of the biggest hypocrite in American history. Once a Nazi sychophant, always a Nazi sychophant,, aren’t ya no-willie.

The Mango Maggot still just like one of y’all? I mean, aren’t all y’all “billionaires” who’ve been bankrupt repearedly, ran cash-cow businesses like casinos into the ground, cheated on every wife you’ve had, wanted to “date” your own daughter, fomented a wanna-be coup that failed because the traitors were mostly clowns (but y’all watched and laughed along with your crotch goblins in your bunker while the riot you caused went on and laughed at police getting beaten with Blue Lives flags), and y’all want to nuke hurricanes and inject antiseptic liquids, right? Y’all just like that? ‘Cause otherwise the Mango Maggot would just be a great big ol’ hypocrite if ya aren’t since he keeps sayin’ he’s just like y’all. So then, just who makes and then follows all the rules for all y’all, no-willie?

And when are you going to get tired of being so darned dumb and butthurt every single darned time y’all show up here?

I had some anarchist friends back in the 60s who thought that kids shouldn’t be required to learn how to read, write, and do math. Those government mandates, they said, limit the freedom of the children, who should be allowed to decide for themselves if they want to learn how to read. I thought about that. I consider myself an anarchist (a socialist anarchist), so (a) I take questions of power seriously, and (b) I’m not afraid to take positions out of the mainstream. But after I thought about it, I decided that my friends were wrong. A serious anarchist (lots of people who call themselves anarchists are just play acting) should attempt a comprehensive and nuanced analysis of how power actually works. For instance, government is not the only source of coercion. In fact, government can sometimes act as a check on other sources of coercion, such as religion. In addition, there are some mandates that actually increase a person’s freedom. In our society, a person who can read has more possibilities for truly free action that someone who can’t. So when you require kids to get a certain level of education, you are increasing their freedom. I think the vaccine mandates work the same way. Yes, a vaccine mandate is a (very minor) limitation of freedom, but general vaccination vastly increases the freedom of everyone to live and work and associate safely.

Unfortunately, the brain plays little or no part in many voters’ decision processes.

Unfortunately, many of the people with any “common sense” are the one who “forget” to vote. They pretend their vote doesn’t count anyway.

A comforting thought……..Democrats have made Virginia’s elections free and fair better than much of the country, so I’m fairly confident Dems can pull this one off, even though I’m surrounded by right wing loons.
