I think I read that storyline in an Archie comic about 50 years ago. Betty was the main character in that one. (Yes, they did have comics that were weirder than just life at Riverdale High.)

For me, every day is a second-cup day.

I’m thinking that she’s hoping that she isn’t fully awake yet and that when she is she will “realize” that what she thought she witnessed did not really just happen.

Reminds me of Flo from one of my other favorite comic strips Andy Capp. After so many years of marriage, both women put up with their husband’s nonsense!
