“Sensible” must include “liar aiding in igniting wars that serve no purpose”.

I think Powell was acting in good faith when he told our people and our allies that Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction. I believe he was decieved and intentionally fed old and outdated intelligence reports by the Bush administration. They had their own reasons for wanting the war and knew the public trusted Powell.

How different the nation and the world might have been if he had accepted the Republican nomination for president in 2000.

Shakespeare summed it up concisely: “The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones.”

As much as I disdain his role in the Iraq war debacle, I choose to remember him as a great soldier, statesman and American.

Trump mocks ‘classic RINO’ Colin Powell after he dies from COVID-19 complications

The statement, posted to Twitter by spokesperson Liz Harrington, was riddled with insults against Powell, who twice endorsed his Democratic opponents for president. Trump called him a “classic RINO [Republican in name only]” who “made big mistakes on Iraq” and was always “first to attack other Republicans.”

Racist Trump, leader of the republican party, has nothing but hatred in his heart.

Sensible in the “sense” that he regretted lying us into a war, but he still made a career of lying in order to achieve military goals.
