I always hated the house where they gave out caramel apples. And didn’t care for the “pick any two from the cheap giant bag o sugar” guy either. But ONE lady was reliable with a Hersey® bar. Regular size too!

never got to do it in NYC but would have 250 people and park over 100 cars plus one had 5 bands for Halloween on my 5 acres in the woods in S Florida spent the whole month setting up stunts and props

We don’t have it in our division, so we’re eating the candy.

I was biggish & athletic from early on. I remember being 11 and getting comment after comment saying “aren’t you a little old to be trick or treating.”

It was like, I’m literally in elementary school, I was still very much a kid, I got dressed up. Just toss the 1.5 cents worth of candy you freakin loser. Seriously

The candy for Halloween is out there, ready for giving to kids. Be reasonable about keeping them safe and healthy (both COVID and creeps are still out there).

Other stuff in stores? Some morons are even starting up rumors about toilet paper again. Sounds like just the same as last year’s fear-based hype to me. There are shortages of materials and items that are based on real things happening but be logical and be civil about it. The folks putting things on the shelves at the department store, parts store, and grocery ain’t they ones to blame for it. You can’t push a button or snap your fingers and have things magically appear because the past few years were such a crap storm and Dolt .45 sat on his rump and did nothing about the virus for nine months. Maybe if the FluKluxKlan wised up, shut up, and got the shots all of this would have been over by now, so blame them. Be sensible about what you buy. Some of y’all still have last year’s TP and will still have it through 2027.

And heaven forbid a bunch of American workers decided to finally get better jobs and better pay & treatment from bosses who though an extra buck an hour for a month or two was worth taking a ton of shiznit from spoiled boomers and the FluKluxKlan just because y’all couldn’t get the brand of canned vegetables y’all wanted, and wanted them to up their work by as much as 60+% too. Cut the “essential” but still underpaid and under-appreciated workers some slack. It ain’t their fault they want the same things a fat lady in a motorized cart who runs into them deliberately wants to get out of life (well, all of it except being a total witch maybe).

Will Halloween be the same as last year?

Halloween is back on the schedule this year and we want trick-or-treaters, more decorations and new costumes – for us, the kids and our pets.

Consumers are expected to spend a record $10.14 billion on Halloween this year, according to the National Retail Federation. That’s up from $8.05 billion last year when the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention suggested most avoid trick-or-treating.

Beef prices here in OK are running over $14 a pound. IMVPO this is all due to the fact that most of the worlds beef processors are owned by a Brazilian mega corp. Which was, according to many news sources, recently hacked. Yet another ransomware attack out of Russia

During an economic upheaval, producers, suppliers, and retailers cut way back and run on empty. When things open up there’s no products for the shelves. They’re not sold out. They were never stocked.

Ever since we moved into this complex we get maybe 4 or 5 kids during the entire evening so any candy buying is minimal and mostly ends up for the household.

My car was at the repair garage since early July, waiting on a backordered part. I finally got my car back yesterday. (October 13)

I love the episode of “Everybody Loves Raymond” when Ray’s dad, Frank, goes into Ray’s house on Halloween and trick or treaters arrive at the door. He finds what he thinks is candy in a bag and hands out colored condoms.

Christmas decorations covered a significant part of the floor space of my local Lowe’s on September 30. No shortages here.

We don’t need no stinking Hallowe’en. Or Thanksgiving. Let’s look at the big picture.

no-willie is full of BS as usual. Here’s why people are leaving or planning to leave their jobs, and are currently looking for other jobs.

And btw no-willie, the September unemployment rate was 4.8% which is lower than it has been. Don’t y’all ever get tired of all the butthurt you get when you’re proven wrong both so much and so often? No wonder y’all don’t dare to post sources for your shiznit.
