True that they have been doing it for years but the Dems behavior has remained the same too. Despite occasional victories the Dems usually end up in their clubhouse fighting each other and unable for a sustained period of time to effectively counter the GOP imaginary ghosts and monsters.

The only time that Dems seem able to be effective is when the country is in crisis mode due to the GOP governing and cleanup is needed. Tough to improve your habitat when you constantly need to clean and repair it.

You forgot the calamity, outrage, and collapse of civilization as we know it, due to the appearance of gay and (gasp) bisexual super heroes in the comics! (News to me, I always thought it was too obvious that Robin was Bruce Wayne’s ephebic boytoy, given the notable absence of females in that comic. Superman, or rather Clark Kent, had his beard" in the shape of Lois Lane, and Lo! come to find they have a kid, of all things, “Jon”, who is either gay or bi, it’s not quite clear. Nor is it deducible what manner of being a half-Kryptonian would be like in the first place.)

Lying republicans want to banish critical thinking, they want their base to remain asleep while they destroy democracy.

Republican fraud is their top priority over county and democracy.

‘I know I messed up’: Bail bondsman Capitol rioter sentenced to 18 months on gun charges

When FBI agents searched 40-year-old Adam Avery Honeycutt’s home in February, they found four handguns, three rifles, 5,000 rounds of ammunition, and marijuana, First Coast News reported.

Honeycutt, who reportedly goes by the nickname “Bundy,” was charged under a federal law that prohibits gun ownership by anyone who is “an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance.”

During a court appearance on Wednesday, Honeycutt told Senior District Judge Harvey Schlesinger, “I know I messed up. I was wrong,” Jacksonville’s Channel 4 reports.

“Honeycutt, a former bail bondsman who will now lose his license, faced a minimum of 30 months in prison based on the charges, but Judge Schlesinger chose to reduce the sentence based on positive letters from the community along with the fact that he contracted COVID-19 and was attacked in a county jail during his time in custody,” the station reports.

“Investigators said that multiple confidential sources reported photos and videos that Honeycutt posted on his Facebook page showing him at the Capitol during the riot,” Channel 4 reports. “One photo shows a gloved hand holding a broken piece of furniture with a sticker reading ‘U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms.’ According to court documents, there is also a video recorded outside the Capitol where he said, ’It’s about to go down!’ Another video recorded inside the Capitol shows him saying, ‘Well, made it in,’ court documents show.”

Paul Krugman: ‘Increasingly radical’ Republicans are scaring businesses in GOP-led states

For generations, the GOP has pushed itself as the “pro-business party.” But when MAGA Republicans take extremist measures in states they control — voter suppression, opposing vaccine requirements and public safety measures during a pandemic — it makes a compelling argument for operating businesses in blue states. And liberal economist Paul Krugman, this week in his New York Times column, argues that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and other GOP governors are frightening businesses with their “radicalism.”

Krugman explains, “Big business is overwhelmingly in favor of requiring that workers get vaccinated against COVID-19. A recent CNBC survey of chief financial officers found that 80% of them say they ‘totally support’ the Biden Administration’s plan to impose a vaccine-or-test mandate on companies with more than 100 workers — and many companies have already announced vaccination requirements for their employees. Yet Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, just issued an executive order banning vaccine mandates in his state. That is, he’s not just refusing to use his own powers to promote vaccination; he’s interfering in private decisions, trying to prevent businesses from requiring that their workers or customers be vaccinated.”

It’s not just vaccines," Krugman observes. “Corporate interests also want serious investment in infrastructure and find themselves on the outs with Republican leaders who don’t want to see Democrats achieve any policy successes…. Just to be clear, corporations aren’t being good guys. They support vaccine mandates and infrastructure investment because they believe that both would be good for their bottom lines.”
