Both sides play this game. The question is, what will we get out of this? The republicans brought us 20 years of war and tax cuts for the wealthy and produced little for most Americans. At least Biden’s plan addresses problems facing most Americans.
Like all Trump Disciples, Lester admires wealthy tax cheats and fights like hell to keep billionaires and multi-billion dollar corporations from paying any taxes at all.
Just like he admires cowardly draft evaders. And other cartoonists who LIE constantly.

Is it fair that a single Mom working two minimum wage jobs is fined a weeks pay for speeding but, um, let’s say Mike Lester (or me) is only fined $250 for the same offense? Did they do the same thing? Yes, clearly. But have they suffered the same consequence? No. Not at all. And if you try to argue with me on this one you’re wrong. Because the loss of a mere $250 bucks is catastrophic for some and a mere nuisance for others.
We don’t need a FAIR tax code. We need a progressive tax code. One that keeps wealth from accumulating in the pockets of the already wealthy.
Guys like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson fought against a thing called “primogeniture”. The right of succession belonging to the firstborn child, especially the feudal rule by which the whole real estate of an intestate passed to the eldest son
They fought against it because it allowed for the rise of a noble class in America. They fought against it because it was undemocratic. They fought against it because it was wrong.
Nowadays most folks don’t even know what it means. Or don’t care. They don’t understand how it makes a difference. That’s because they don’t have any wealth to pass on.
Primogeniture is gone. But it didn’t go away. The wealthy just learned new tricks, passed new laws to protect their wealth. AND THEY CALLED IT FAIR.
Capitalists claim to hate the idea of redistribution of wealth. That’s not true. They hate it when it’s THEIR wealth being redistributed. They have NO problem watching our wealth being redistributed into their pockets.
Biden’s Plan is specific with step by step instructions to follow that will pay for it all. All in easy to read black and white. Just like Clinton’s plan making the budget balanced with the excess used to pay down our National Debt in 6 years time. Bush2 blew that off when he tried to avoid his first recession, and killed it when he had his 2nd recession, the worst since 1929.
The only way to make these plans work is to keep Republican/conservatives out of office. Republican/conservatives have proven beyond the shadow of a doubt that they cannot manage an economy, and cannot govern a Nation.
