OK. That’s funny. To me. A little bit. Some. Maybe.

Is it time to put away all the hate and try for real compromise? You know, I give up something and so do you! And we work at it until what we’ve all given up is about the same. And we agree to that, and work together to get something good done. Can we do that again?

Pay people what they’re worth, get help for those who need it, fix the broken back of America, make the rich pay up for the years of their free ride, and stomp those 1/6 traitors into the dirt. Here in “Ory-gun” I watch the Civil War every year on television between the Ducks and the Beavers. They get dressed up in uniforms and one of them wins and the other loses, but they don’t attend school board meetings that I’m aware of . . . /S

School boards are where it starts. Who do you want to set the goals and standards for teaching our children? Don’t get involved, don’t vote, don’t care and that let’s the Turd Reich set the rules. Where’s that gotten us for so many decades?

I’m 80 and I can testify American people on average never acted like this " Storming Our Capitol and going crazy at school board meetings because they didn’t get their way" before this lie cheat n steal IDIOT! trump came into our lives and told the world Including our children, it’s OK to lie everybody does it!

If ever there was a time to go back to Zoom school board meetings it’s now.

The videos from these school board meetings are frightening. When Covid started, parents were finally showing appreciation for teachers when they had to home-school their children. Now they’re attacking teachers and the school board because they want them to take back the responsibility for teaching their children, even though Covid is still very active, many schools don’t have proper ventilation and there are too many that refuse to vax and mask.

When the “heroes work here” signs were going up and front-line workers from healthcare professionals to grocery and restaurant workers were getting a LOT of support from the public, I wondered how long that would last. The anger and violence against these hard-working people who enabled us to get through the pandemic with medicine, food and education support is unbelievable.

I have an old pal who was a Civil War reenactor (Yankee side) who lost me when he told me that for authenticity, they polished their brass buttons with urine.

It’s amazing how many people, including the Republican candidate for Governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin, seem to advocate that a small, noisy, violent minority of parents should be able to dictate school curricula and policy just because they are angry, irrational and ill-informed.
