Calvin’s doing much better with this than I thought he would. Poor Mom, no wonder she is sometimes cranky.

Wouldn’t that depend on the tiger….

Totally with you on the snoring, Calvin. The night before my wedding, all my groomsmen crashed at my apt., and one of them snored so loudly that I had to go down to my car to get a few zzzzz’s.

Good thing I didn’t have to drive to Oregon the next day for our honeymoon … oh, wait.

Also, it’s time to play BASH THE SPAMMER!!!

Well, Calvin, the snoring/trucks downshifting sounds just like the waves crashing in the Atlantic last week. We were at the hotel in KittyHawk, NC, and it was my first experience with a storm at sea, and the waves were super large. The sound came through the hotel door/windows all night long. It really was soothing, once you got used to it.

One of the funniest lines from Calvin’s lips, ever. Also one of the most insulting. Yep, that’s our little ENFP in training.

This past afternoon I was browsing through one of the Calvin and Hobbes collections at Borders Books and found out what happened when Calvin brought Hobbes to the playground to deal with Moe. One of the most satisfying arcs ever. So you could say I’m pretty content today.

nothing is more comforting than something familiar, and Hobbes has been a constant in Calvin’s life as long as he can remember.

Montana Lady: For four winters growing-up we took a vacation to Virginia Beach and I had the best sleep there ever, listening to the sounds of the ocean at night. We used to wake to the sounds of seagulls every morning. It was always hard after two weeks of bliss to drive back home to the cold northeast’s winter weather again! After I got married my husband bought me a wave machine to help simulate the soothing, crashing waves, I remembered from back then.

Calvin is afterall an adorable kid who needs his cute tiger .. just like it how it is not the typical ‘teddy’ with kids generally ..

But really Calvin is only safe cause Dad is ‘snoring’ .. You dont want him hearing that comment!

Good morning to all! Calvin DOES seem to be taking this rather well. So does Mom. She seems to know what he’s going through. Remember the time Calvin left Hobbes out in the woods at night and she and Dadwent out to look for him? She actually called out “Hobbes!” as if he’d hear! Great comic!

    Dad needs a sleep study.

I sleep with a CPAP, basicly a fan that blows air up my nose and keeps the air way open.

“Tyger, tyger, burning bright…” Blake must have understood Calvin’s attraction to Hobbes because Hobbes burns brightly in every arc he’s in, whether or not he’s actually seen…

At least Calvin’s parents didn’t get the bright idea of buying another “Hobbes” - or some other stuffed animal - in an attempt to appease their child.

    Trust me…that tactic NEVER works!

Oh my…. This brings back such good and sad memories for me. I always found snoring “comforting” . When I was little I always knew my daddy was home and able to rescue me as long as I could hear him snoring.

It is one of things I miss most about him…

I have four letters for dear old dad C.P.A.P. I had no idea how much sleep I wasn’t getting until I got my machine it took awhile to get used to having air blowing in my face but I did and now I feel so much better it’s hard to put it into words. It may not be a tiger but it works for me.

I know how the mom feels about snoring. Dino if my husband bought one of the wave recorders I would not go to sleep I would stay incamp in the BR.

My dad decades ago claimed he never snored. We had a tape recorded don’t know how we had one, so my mom while dad was taking his nap and snoring tape recorded him. Then one day we where playing cards with his uncle and aunt and talked about sleeping dad claimed he never snored so mom being sneaky got up without saying a word and played the recording of dad snoring my uncle wondered what was going on. Dad got so mad. When dad snored mom would leave the bedroom and go out in the living room couch and try to sleep. Then when me and sister finally got married and left the house dad took our old room and mom finally got better sleep.

My husband snores. He is a Vietnam War veteran, so you never, ever touch him while he is sleeping…someone else wakes up.

I did learn, however, to lean over him and say in a loud whisper, “Doc, you’re snoring.” He stops.

One time me and two buddies went on a three day camping/fishing trip up north. We ended up going home two days early because a totally sleepless night for two of us.

Never heard anything like it in my life—sort of like a herd of stampeding buffalo fleeing from an erupting volcano during a violent thunderstorm. (Later learned the snorer’s wife slept in a separate room)
