GQPs think that the majority of the voting public will believe them when they claim that “the Democrats made us blow up the American economy, so it was actually a good thing to do”…

Here’s a weird idea – let’s make the wealthy pay their fair share like Eisenhower did. That didn’t cause Wall St. to crumble now, did it? Wadda concept!

Great timing, what with the threat of a Chinese giant, Evergrand, self destructing and causing a depression and the lingering effects of the plague. What could go wrong?

Politicians are supposed to be serving the people , by providing stable government that is doing it’s best for the public . NOT blocking and creating " gridlock " just because the other party is in government.

The GQP think it’s a political winner to rise up from the rubble of the US economy and blame the democrats. I’m sure their moronic base does. MM will gladly light the fuse with one of his KGB sixty’s era commemorative matches he got from Putin.

Spend enough time bemoaning “fake news” that’s factual, and you start believing your own BS, I guess.

Congress has already agreed to spend the money. The debt ceiling should be abolished, it is a monumental waste of time arguing whether or not to raise it. Most of the world has no debt ceiling, Denmark does but it is double their debt and does not play into their day-to-day politics.

Mr. Anderson, the Democrats control the Congress and have a thin margin of control in the Senate. If they can not get their extreme left caucus under control or make deals with the Republicans, that’s their problem.

Not that long ago there was a government shut down due to budget disagreement. There was one republican (I forget who) who was outraged that a facility he wanted to use was shut down due to fact that the people who ran it were not being paid and stayed home. Senators and congressmen were still receiving paychecks and it was suggested that they refuse to accept that money until the budget crisis was resolved. Several republicans were angry at that idea also.
