Lisa Benson yet again sabotages herself by her lack of education, demonstrating yet again that she understands NOTHING of either infrastructure or fiscal responsibility so keeps on showing off the same economic ignorance over and over..

The Biden plans — both the bipartisan bill and the coming human infrastructure bill, are INVESTMENTS. Just like investing capital in a carefully-planned business startup — spending that lays the groundwork for future income that pays for itself many times over — the Biden bills INVEST in the resources for economic growth and the tools to make sure working people have access to both jobs they can fill, the means to perform them and solid middle-class incomes that allow them to create the consumer demand that REALLY fuels economic growth.

Infrastructure? For four years Lisa’s guy promised “infrastructure week” almost every single week and, in four years, they never even made the slightest motion to doing anything about it. Biden has been in office barely six months and is finalizing a bipartisan bill on hard infrastructure soon to be followed by a budget reconciliation bill that includes human infrastructure. Both bills address the critical elements that lay the foundation for economic growth ahead — building on the first six months in which we have seen a booming recovery from the Trump economic meltdown, capital investment markets closing at all-time highs and the fastest pace of growth in the first six months of a presidency since the New Deal, unprecedented rebounding of lost jobs and reopening businesses

Fiscal responsibility? Lisa’s guys Trump and the Republicans exploded the annual budget deficits with record reckless spending on drunken parties of corporate welfare and tax giveaways to the few richest elites who already had the most, which DO NOT “TRICKLE DOWN” AND DO NOT PAY FOR THEMSELVES. Never have and never will.

I hate to agree w/ Benson, but she’s right. Biden hasn’t managed to get the votes he needs because too many ‘Democrats’ (at lest two) are actually playing for the “other” team.

The Trump GOP can not recognize good and necessary investment in our country for the benefit of everyone. The Trump GOP only recognize investment into their own bank accounts.Money spent on the good of the populace seems to be just a waste of their tax money to the GOP.

WHY are they so damn greedy. And why don’t they care about the well fair of the USA?

The Democrat’s are working hard for the benefit of everyone.

If it’s the Democrats doing something constructive for their country, the GQP are against it.

Lisa and the other Trump Disciples never mention that the infrastructure spending takes place over TEN YEARS.

The math of dividing 3.5T by 10 is well beyond their grasp.

Loony Lisa still can’t tell the difference between $Trillions in giveaways to Corporations and billionaires and investing in our country to try and pull it out of decades of neglect and try to put us on footing to compete in a modern world.

Democrats are so happy to spend other people’s money. It isn’t like they have any concerns about paying it back.

Don’t worry, Lisa! The Republicans proved LONG ago, you don’t even need a slim majority. All you need is enough folks in the right districts.

Convince those very rich Republican donors that they will benefit, and they will tell the Republican politicians to get on board. Problem solved.

At this point, McConnell represents the gravest danger to the integrity of this nation as we have faced in my adult lifetime (and I’m 80). From the NYT newsletter today:

With Democrats controlling both the House and the Senate, Republicans recognize they cannot force spending cuts. Mitch McConnell, the Senate minority leader, is instead trying to force Democrats to lift the debt ceiling with no Republican help.

He hopes to make Democrats look fiscally irresponsible at the same time that they are also trying to pass a major spending bill that is the centerpiece of President Biden’s agenda. “This is a totally Democratic government,” McConnell said yesterday. “They have an obligation to raise the debt ceiling, and they will do it.”

McConnell’s argument conveniently omits a couple of relevant facts: A significant amount of the current debt stems from tax cuts and spending signed by Donald Trump and passed with Republican votes. And Congress needs to increase the debt ceiling even if Biden’s spending program fails.

More proof democrats hate children. The ones they can’t kill through abortion will instead be left with insurmountable debt.

Speaker Pelosi calls out McConnell for trying ‘to hold the economy hostage’

“Not supporting a debt limit suspension assures that congress will not throw this kind of unnecessary wrench into the gear of our job growth and thriving economy,” McConnell said at the time.

“When Trump was president, they didn’t want to throw a wrench, a wrench, unnecessary wrench into the gear of our job growth. Today he’s threatening to do just that. We are to stop holding the debt and the economy hostage,” Pelosi said.

An Associated Press analysis of data from the U.S. Treasury revealed that nearly 98 percent of the national debt is from previous presidencies. While in office, Trump spent about $7.8 trillion on corporate tax cuts that ultimately didn’t work, according to the data.

“We will not support legislation that raises the debt limit,” McConnell said after Pelosi and Schumer’s announcement. “Democrats do not need our help.”

Pelosi said that McConnell is holding the economy hostage after it being a priority for him during the previous administration. She implied that now that a Democrat is in the White House he appears to want the economy to fail.

How about, Republicans refusing to raise the debt ceiling to pay for the huge debts they ran up under Trump, after giving huge tax cuts to the people that need them the least, creating an even bigger deficit.

“Pet projects” like bridges that have been rated D or even G for years, long overdue upgrades and fixes for roads and expanding broadband which was shown to be vital for work and education during pandemic.

GQPs claim that we can’t afford an infrastructure plan… all while trying to dodge the potholes in the aged infrastructure that is helping to slow our economy…

The GQP’s real concern is that they will look bad if the Democrats manage to do something about our infrastructure – something that the GQPs promised all throughout the previous administration but failed to act upon. GQPs don’t care about doing anything for the good of the people – they only care about what they think is good for their own image…

If I remember correctly they said that the tax cuts under Trump would increase tax income and raise wages (which would also increase tax income) considerably. Why can we not use that increase income to pay for this spending bill. The Republican should be happy to agree to that since it will not cost us anything.

Yeah Biden wants to tax the rich but not himself. Biden ran $13 million plus from his book and speech deals through an “S Corporation” to avoid or cheat on taxes. Well, slow Joe didn’t read or ignored the fine print regarding S Corps. and is now liable for about $500,000 in back taxes plus interest and fines. The Biden crime cartel knew they were breaking the tax laws but thought their great position and power could put them above the law. Of course the lefties here are going to give him a pass.

That tax plan is not only desperately needed, but unlike EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN TAX PLAN EVER, it will PAY FOR ITSELF, sooner, not later, with an improved economy and increased tax revenue that comes with greater consumer confidence.

The Republican Terrorist Organization only passes tax plans that throw money at the idle rich parasites by stealing it away from the 96%, accompanied by unnecessary and harmful Austerity, while enabling the Plutocratic Oligarchs to have even more money to buy Right-Wing Politicians, Judges and Bureaucrats with.

Go big, or go home, you bloody Failure, Loony Lisa!
