I stopped watching MLB a long time ago. Without a real salary cap in-place, larger market teams will continue to dominate most of the time, unlike with NFL when even smaller market teams can compete and win (i.e. excluding crazy ownership factor).
I have loved baseball for 60 years, but I get it. National TV games are almost some combination of NYY, Boston, NYM, LAD, or Chicubs. Same teams win usually. Players seem to be invisible in star power, compared to NFL and NBA players. And the rule changes and playing styles have decimated the game itself. No league competition any longer, meaningless stats, and standardization of everything except the DH, but that one will change soon. I’m like Seinfeld — we’re basically rooting for our shirts.
The Caller must be an Oakland fan, who supports a team with cheap owners looking for the door, not paying good players, raising prices, and wondering why crowds seldom exceed 10K. Disgraceful and Manfred looks on unconcerned.

I’m pretty much out on Pro-sports, and college in general, I go, occasionally, to a couple 2A H.S. games in my N. Texas area .
