It’s good to know that with all the cronyism and purges there was one general who believed in defending America from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
It’s good that there ARE several layers of protection between the president and the actual launching of Nukes, and that there ISN’T just a big red button on his desk that he can push to launch them!
General Milley was highly embarassed by the Lafayette Square incident and began really assessing what kind of president and person that Herr Gropingfuror was.
There should be a law that makes it illegal to withhold national security stories in order to sell advance copies of your book later.
Although I don’t doubt that the people who COULD have done something about it at the time all knew, and the ones responsible for putting a check on the president’s power just chose to let it slide anyway.
Give him another medal for killing innocent Afghans (an aid worker and 9 members of his family, including 7 children) in the effort to make Joe look tough after bumbling the withdrawal and getting 14 US troops killed. Obviously, they were targeting ISIS-K, but as is often the case with this crew, they screwed up.
It blows me away that numerous so-called “conservatives” are running in circles and screaming and shouting that Gen Milley is a “traitor” . . . for taking a mild precaution to forestall an international disaster.
The really funny part, the part you idiots still haven’t realized, is that Milley isn’t in the chain of command.
The POTUS does not issue orders through the JC’s. There would have been nothing he could have done had Trump (or Biden) issued orders directly to Esper or the combat commanders.
And, if irrational, illegal orders had been issued, of which there is ZERO indication might have taken place, the commanders would have simply refused to obey them. As required of them under the UCMJ and other regulations.

America has learned of one more reason why Il Douche should really be locked up where he can’t be a harm to society.
HOW MANY MORE DO WE NEED BEFORE WE PUT HIM WHERE HE BELONGS?!?!?!?!?!

It seems strange love that the First Atomic Bomb, “FAT BOY” was named after Trump and he wasn’t born until the following year.

More testimony for his competency hearing, as if there were any doubt the Last Occupant was five cans shy of a six pack.

Not so good. What if the next general is a secret agent for a foreign power? Never happen? Nobody thought a Trump would ever happen, either.
