Conservatives have used the tragedy of 911 to promote an agenda of hate, fear and blood lust to gain and maintain their power. Face it, they gave bin Laden the victory he was going for.
The Right wingers ARE attacking our nation’s constitution as well as our national heritage of working for the good of ALL the people. And the idiot anti-mask anti-vaxxers ARE attacking the nation’s health care (which is already of poorer quality than most of us want to admit)… as well as trying to kill (mostly their own, but not entirely) children by forcing them to become infected…
DeSantis threatens to fine government employers implementing vaccine mandateFlorida Governor Ron DeSantis said he will fine government agencies that enforce a vaccine mandate on employees. Mr DeSantis told a press conference on Monday that government employers would be ‘breaking Florida law’ if they require a person to be vaccinated as a condition of employment, with employers facing a potential $5,000 fine.
President Joe Biden has repeatedly accused the Governor of ‘undermining’ efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus, with Mr DeSantis strongly opposing all mask and vaccination mandates and previously threatening to withhold teachers’ pay who implement such restrictions in Florida schools.
Such an insult to the family’s who lost loved ones on 9/11 . To make comparisons such as these . Seems you all are touched just like slow Joe. Very low down
Bush went to war vs. Iraq (and its non-existent WMDs) as retaliation for 9/11, which was perpetrated by Saudis.
He went to war vs. Afghanistan to find Osama bin Laden, who was hiding in Pakistan.
So, two wars, costing $4.5 trillion, against the wrong enemies.
Dead American count: 9/11, 2996; Iraq, 4431; Afghanistan, 2325.
Bin Laden spent about a million dollars on his attacks, or $333 per dead American. Bush racked up more than double the US corpse count but at a cost of ~$4.5 trillion, or $666,000,000 per dead American. Bin Laden was clearly the better Republican, having gotten 2 million times more bang for his buck.
Of course, they’re both pikers compared to the brilliantly cost-effective Donald Trump, who managed to rack up his 650,000 dead Americans by not spending a penny to fight coronavirus.
The CDC says the vaccinated have the same viral load and can spread it too. I’m vaxxed, but don’t blame just the unvaxxed. Since vaxxed people have milder symptoms, they probably aren’t even aware when they spread it.
To my fellow posters: I totally agree that the Republican Party is responsible for the dividing and ruining this great nation.
But the power to change that is in our hands. Next year is the mid-term election; exercise the ballot and vote the b@stards out of office (especially Mitch McConnell)!
Before then, we must work together to fight voter suppression in the red(neck) states.

Hey “patriots,” you’re exactly what these heroes fought against and died because of. Shame on you, you disgrace the flag and our country.

DeathSantis has now killed more Floridians than his margin of victory.
