The old English word for spider was “Coppe”, which is why we call spiderwebs cobwebs. Most insects do not like cedar, which is why cedar was used to built rafters in really old houses.

We get it. Time for a new story arc.

Thankfully Mia is not there or we would have another crying fit.

Chances are that the spider is alive and well inside the dustbuster and will crawl back out in a few. Those things don’t have as much suction/turbulence as a full-sized vacuum cleaner. And even a full-sized one probably won’t kill a smaller-sized spider. And if it’s not killed, it can come back out easily enough.

The bagless ones MIGHT kill the spider by making it collide with a hard surface but it’s still iffie.

This arc is getting old, it’s got spider webs all over it.

i would be using a long feather duster to reach them. using a dust buster they will cling to the outside off the opening to it.

Who ya gonna call? DUSTBUSTERS!

We have achieved detente. If I don’t look for the webs, then they’re not there…

I leave the spiders alone. It’s so satisfying to watch a spider munch on a mosquito.
