Holy Shift! That’s TWO in the last week where Ol’ Al has made sense. Quibble: The risk is less than mosquito sized, at this scale. Another quibble: The POSITIVE value of the vaccine is only (barely) aluded to, not mentioned as a positive. Though I guess that may be the best way to communicate w/ Al’s usual readers.

Oooohhh, a Trump Disciple implying that one should get vaccinated.

    Time for an excommunication.

    .

does Goodwyn admit he’s been vaccinated?

Will he admit that Trump is NOT 6’ 3" and is obese? And that there never was any widespread undetectable voter fraud?

Indeed. Her fear is real, as all fear is. But her fear is irrational, as all fear also is.

If only we had had decent leadership when the pandemic hit. Someone who could be a good example for others, maybe getting the shot in public instead of in secret.

Woah… Is Goodwyn switching sides? What pushed him over? Anyway, looks like he’s doing damage control.

Will wonders never cease? (A sane point of view by Mr Goodwyn and the first time I ever hit the ‘like’ button on one of his cartoons.)

Of course, the real 800# gorilla is that Trump and his MAGAts have been using their minions FoxNews/OAN/NewsMaxx to tell people to NOT get vaccinated. Trying to rewrite their history.

The Preamble of the Constitution contains this clause “to promote the general welfare”. Therefore, mandatory vaccinations are constitutional.

I guess this toon could be promoting getting the vaccine. But, Al’s history makes me think he has a different take on it. Is the toon just a pile of sarcasm?

I catch the metaphor but I disagree with the image of a gorilla as a looming and dangerous King Kong. Jane Goodall and other primate researchers have shown that our cousins are in fact gentle with us. Several years ago a child fell into a gorilla pen at some zoo. Its behavior with the child was to shelter it from the screaming ninnies at the fence. Sadly, a police officer shot and killed the animal. Gorillas do not eat children; they like many primates are vegetations.

AIDS came from monkeys. That’s killed millions; gorillas have only killed a few people.

I’m smiling. Talk about a 180. I wonder what has happened in Al’s personal life that makes him pro-vaccine.

I’m curious to see how the R regulars comment on this….or perhaps say nothing.

My guess is they will reject this topic and insert their own

Al must have experienced a close personal loss to come this far so soon. I hope not, but it is good to see a conversion.

The right wing monkeys still refuse to get vaxxed or wear a mask, they don’t care how many school children they kill.

We can expect all the “woke” idiots to attack Goodwyn. They live in an alternative reality bubble.

Trump was one of the first vaccinated even after he had Covid-19. He has encouraged people since December 2020 to get the vaccine as soon as it was available, several times the past month at rallies and on televison. Basically, a “Trump Disciple” would be vaccinated and encourage others, just as Trump has done.

The people attacking Goodwyn and other conservative cartoonists cannot make that distinction. They never read or listen to anything that would offer the truth of the matter.

No, and if in (God Save Us) event that the Orange Excrement is somehow reelected, Goodwhine will be back licking his behind in an LA Minute.

Well put. I was saddened to overhear someone talking about someone else who was breastfeeding and avoiding the vaccine because she didn’t want to take any medications while lactating. It saddened me, because her baby cannot be vaccinated anytime soon, but she can, and there was a recent study that confirmed that covid-19 antibodies in a vaccinated individual do pass in the breastmilk. It’s her baby’s best chance at getting at least some temporary, passive immunity, and out of fear, she is avoiding it.
