I don’t think we should demonize our emotions. Nothing wrong with feeling both critical and proud. The trick is not to spin out or obsess on any one emotion. Feel it, don’t become it.
oh god the first part is so me and my book. I even got a spot with a really good coach last spring to help keep me on track and get it down after some interest from an editor. I sat down to polish up what I had done so far to send off for my introduction and idea of where the book is going, and suddenly realized, “Not only does it suck, the whole idea sucks!” Still haven’t it picked it back up for a hug yet.
