Now’s the perfect moment for Nermal to show up and taunt Garfield mercilessly.

Fan-tas-tic expression in the first panel ! Don’t despair, Garfield, as long as you keep coming up with silly, stupid ideas like this from time to time, there’s still a young … eh … kitten in you somewhere !

Oh, I can so sympathize with Garfield … I swam 20 lengths in the pool back on Friday night, and two days later I was so, so sore in my upper back. I have to admit I justs ain’t as young as I used to be … even though I can still swim faster and longer than most my own age or even younger … IF I train long enough!

You’re only as young as you feel–though I can relate to the last panel!

I remember when I was young I didn’t have any problems but when I am getting old, I tend to have more problems for example hands, fingers, neck or back aching after wake up and get up from bed.

Yeah Garfield my dad pretty much has aches and pain just like all you guys here do . And he doesn’t even care about it. He says pain is just a part of life that we all have to get used to. So pain will not stop my dad from doing what he likes to do.

When I get up in the morning, the only part of my body that doesn’t ache, is my moustache.

Yeah, Garfield, I try the same thing - mind over matter - only to find that my matter has a mind of its own.
