I posted this earlier in the week. Looks like some of you took my advice not recognizing the sarcasm.
Hey, I have an idea! Let’s politicize the crap out of 9/11 and the 20th anniversary rather than recognizing the heroes and honoring those who lost their lives to a terrorist attack on our country. Whaddaya say, gang!
I will send a check tomorrow so it’s dated 9/11 to a charitable organization I respect, as I do every year, that does great work in memory of 9/11. My choice is the Tunnels to Towers Foundation ( https://t2t.org/ ) but there are many others. Please find some way to honor American heroes rather than pounding another wedge into the divide, for at least this one day. I promise you, none of the victims were thinking about politics as they were about to die.
I mentioned t2t, but I would love to hear from others about other organizations or even their individual efforts and stories.
Oh, I get it. The events of 09/11 were not terrorist attacks at all, but just the actions of some unruly tourists that got a little out of hand, just like 01/06. Do I have it right now? /S
See all that black smoke boiling off the Twin Towers? That and all the particulate matter released into the New York atmosphere when they collapsed will probably end up killing more people than died in the buildings’ collapse. We just won’t count them among the official 9/11 casualties because it’ll involve quite a few years of suffering before they succumb, and we only pay attention to the quick, easily counted deaths.
Forget the event. The event was the Terrorists Winning.
Instead, remember to be watchful for that kind of evil rearing its head in America, first and foremost. We failed in that by permitting the Apricot Antichrist being installed fraudulently in the White House by his puppet-master, Vladimir Putin, and in allowing him to foment that exact type of mindless, senseless, inhuman hate, delusions and terrorism in our very nation.
Remember that once, we had the goodwill of the entire world, and squandered it on a senseless, illegal invasion of a sovereign nation that had done nothing to us, all so Snowflake Dubya could pretend he was punishing the Taliban for spanking his Bush-Daddy so badly when he was president.
Forget the act; remember the unity, the singularity of purpose, the heroism, the selflessness, the love of the entire world that we enjoyed, and vow to NEVER SQUANDER IT every again!
Several federal agents were worried about foreign nationals taking piloting lessons and reported them to their “superiors”. These reports were apparently ignored. This was under bush/Cheyney.
Today is “Shabbat Tscuvah”; a very special Sabbath for my people (and me), as it falls between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. On this Sabbath, we pray with extra fervency to be sealed in the Book of Life for another year.
It is a great irony that this holy day should fall on the 20th anniversary of one of the greatest tragedies in US history. The souls of 9/11 victims will be in our prayers.
Sad that there are those on the left who can’t let go of their hatred for their fellow Americans and feel the need to post words of division and disrespect when at least on this day we should be united. Very sad only.

I wonder if we’ll say “Never forget” about January 6. In my opinion, that was far more dangerous to the very existence of this country.

An interesting side note:

Trump rented the 45th floor of Trump Tower to the Saudis and they celebrated the fall of the twin towers in Trump’s building.

January 6 happened because we started hating and mustrusting ourselves. Can we ever be fellow Americans again?
