I had trouble with wristwatches (the bands would make my skin itchy) so I started carrying a pocket watch about the size of a ½ dollar and only about 3/16" thick. I liked it a lot. (students thought it was weird)

Maybe it’s actually a “pack it” watch?

There was a science fiction short story about aliens that landed and basically shape-shifted to look like the earthlings they saw. Only problem was they landed in a nudist colony and then went into town. Oops.
