I always knew what d-o-c-t-o-r and s-h-o-t spelled.

Our lab got to learning w-a-l-k. We would spell it when we didn’t want her getting all fired up too soon.

C-o-o-k-i-e

I thought that bees were the only other animal that could spell.

We had a Black Lab who could spell. Pax knew out, walk, car, cookie, and brush. She even knew what spelling sounded like, so my best friend (who shares a BD with me but 15 years apart) said, “You have to be careful around the d-o-g. I think the d-o-g can s-p-e-l-l.” She started wagging her tail when she heard that. She didn’t mind the vet. The vet always petted her and told her she was a Good Girl.

My late Corgi knew lots of words. “Insurance pee” was the most fun. Her spelling was limited to B-A-T-H. She would go hide somewhere.

Same as with B-A-T-H…

This could take a spell.

Our dog knows B-A-L-L so we started calling it the “red rubber round thing” until she figured that out. We shorten it to RRRT, she figured that out along with a few other variations. Now were at “spherical crimson object”

It’s telepathy. Cats have it too!

My dogs are OK until you get to the door of the vet and that smell hits their nose.
