The one that used to run through our bedroom and out into the hall looked like a small black shadow. After I yelled at it to leave ( for 3 weeks straight) it wasn’t seen again. I wonder if the people we sold the house to ever saw it.

And why is there a newspaper in that alleged “pile of laundry”?

The ghost in panel 7 reminds me of the ghost Gus in Barnaby.

The “ghost” reminds me of Gus from Gus and the Baby Ghost.

I wonder if we’ll find out this year if Goldie can perceive the RCO crew?

All right, we have a Tillie sighting with her ghost CN mug. Can the rest of the RCO crew be far behind so that we can have a RCO Sunday October arc to go with the weekday Robber Mice arc we are now thoroughly enjoying?

HELP WANTED

A new position has opened up for a cat or kitten Overlord-in-training in our central prefecture. This position is in a lovely house with multiple windows and beds, with ample opportunities for bird watching. This opening is strictly an indoor position. However, the ability to be on the screened-in porch in nice weather is available. Age and/or physical challenges are not deal-breakers. In addition, negotiations can be undertaken if the ideal candidate comes with a sibling or dear friend.

The successful candidate will be working with three other cats and a dog to oversee and care for a group of well-meaning but ultimately hapless humans. Unfortunately, these humans tend to speak baby-talk to the cats and often pick them up to hug. On the plus side, the humans quickly learn how the cats like to be scritched and have nice, warm laps.

Note: The oldest male human may try to write you into one of his stories. The successful candidate(s) will be compensated for appearing in the stories in a manner to be determined later. Past compensation has included but has not been limited to tuna treats, fresh shrimp, a small piece of cheese at something called Martini-time, and/or nightly brushing (especially under the chin).

Update loves gushy food. She scarfed it down and a while later pooped on my pillow while playing on my bed. She’s a baby and pillows are washable. I took her out on the front porch to visit with my youngest daughter and Database was inside the open window. Data was very curious so I held Update up to the window and Data seemed ok right up until Update stuck a claw in the screen, then Data hiss-growled and I got Update out of sight. I’m sure it will take a while for them to become friends.

Maybe one of the People is rehearsing for Hallowe’en.
