Back in the 70s & 80s when seatbelt laws were put in place, it was the kids that kept insisting that they wear seatbelts and the parents that said “don’t tell me what to do”

It could actually work. Parents refuse kids to wear mask. Kids catch Covid19 and bring it back home. The kids probably survive, parents die. It’s a start. Well, the kids are carrying the stupid parents’ genetic material, but unless inbreds, imbecility is not genetic and with a proper education the kids might turn out well… Not that it matters much though, they’ll reach adulthood to die because of climate change’s consequences created by the generations before them.

And this is what is happening now…

At protest in Santa Monica today before the vote on mask-mandate, Jason Lefkowitz has the home addresses of each LA City Council member on his sign. He says they are going to the homes of whoever votes for it, and if it passes, it’s “civil war, get your guns.”

Blind Willie McTell recorded a dance tune called ‘Kill It, Kid." I’m thinking of writing new lyrics and calling it “Kill Your Kid.”

Darwin awards?….naw…..too late. It’s become a kind of “Russian roulette” except the parents are pointing at their kids and pulling the trigger. If their kid dies of covid-19 because the parents refused to get them vaxed or wear masks, does that make the parent guilty of homicide?

“Let Mommy do the talking.” Interesting, since it seems the child is doing the thinking. Isn’t there an old maxim about “Out of the mouths of babes. . .?”

And a sizable percentage of those children will have the same prejudices and mentality as their parents’: look at a history of the South from 1865 – 1970s.

This was similar to what I saw a few years ago – a young child (7 or 8) was telling her mother that she shouldn’t be smoking (probably heard it at school) and the mother told her to be quiet.

There is some irony, much as the apples don’t usually fall far from the tree, kids often like to do the opposite of what their parents tell them to do.

The worse kids are the ones too much like their parents, and are coughing and spitting on kids that are wearing masks in school. Those little bullies need to be expulsed from school. An expensive lesson for their parents as they have to either home school them or pay for a private school.

Our school district is staying “mask optional” thanks to a bunch of mommies and daddies like the one pictured. I watched the last meeting of the board, and the anti-mask crowd was called out by the board leader for their “immaturity and intimidation.” One woman in her camo t-shirt positioned herself right behind the podium and interrupted and gestured obnoxiously every time a pro-mask speaker stood up. A medical colleague of mine spoke on the pro-mask side, and the board members had to ask people to stop interrupting her 3 times.

The worst? A 9 year-old forced by Daddy to recite his version of the father’s claims that he got an awful sinus infection and racked up medical bills, and it was ALL because of his mask. Somehow Dad didn’t get the memo that you can wash and clean cloth masks…

The kids could have a lot of fun with masks & keep themselves/each other safer: e.g. fashion statements, super-heroes, etc.

The US Department of Education is finally investigating the Governors of the 6 states who are implementing the no-mask mandates in schools. My assumption is that the judge’s ruling in Florida against Rick De Santis gave them a judicial shot in the arm (pun intended) to do so.

Over 630,000 Americans have died from COIVD-19. Absolutely none have died as a consequence of wearing a mask.

I can see a 12 year old child going to jail for wearing a mask. And a teacher fired for suggesting there may have been slaves in this country. Fascists, all.

Record breaking wildfires around the world, Hurricane Ida, as well as 101 ‘significant’ earthquakes, 22 hurricanes, typhoons, cyclones and 94 other oceanic storms, record-breaking long-term drought conditions around the world (especially in major food-producing areas), Covid 19 and the Delta strain again on the increase — and people are still yammering about masks. I remember a Ziggy cartoon poster that I had on my office wall (my office being a former supply closet) — which was torn down by a co-worker. It showed Ziggy in front of a world globe and the caption said: “Be kind to Mother Nature. Where will you go if she makes you leave home?” Seems to me like Mother Nature is giving us a strong hint.
