    ’Morning, Vagabonds,

We’ve been very busy with our daughter. Friday’s are her easy days, so we had some extra time… she and Jack stacked the first 2 cords of firewood. Looks nice.

We went out to dinner to our favorite Chinese restaurant. It’s a Mom and Pop place with very good homemade food. It’s been in their family for over 50 years.

I never heard of the Decades channel. So I looked it up. It’s not available in our area.

    xoxo

    Hi Vagabonds

The sky is beginning to lighten up and our temps are in the mid 40s the weather site says fair. (eh, could be) As the day progresses partly cloudy and a high of 73. A pretty Saturday. (^.^)

I’ve been thinking about movies but, not in a trivia way. There are two from Japan “Kashimousha the Shadow warrior”, I’m not shore of the name can’t even spell it (I-T, of course) (^.^). In feudal Japan a war lord leads a strong dynasty and he uses doubles to fool the enemy. When a peasant in the back streets is found to be a dead ringer for the war lord. It is a good movie and a good read because it is subtitled. Movie two is also placed in feudal and may be familiar to you, “Seven Samurai” also a good read but, being in Black and White with white subtitles the subtitles sometimes get lost. As we all know this movie is the inspiration for “The Magnificent Seven”.

A good day to one and all, may God bless.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Yesterday wasn’t nearly as productive as Thursday, but it was a good day anyway. A very laid-back day for reading, TV and Mah-Jongg (solitaire, on my tablet).

I’ve been reading Mary Stewart’s “Merlin” trilogy (again – I read it many, many years ago). The combination of her talent as a writer and the Arthurian legends make for a very good read. After she finished the trilogy, she wrote a fourth book but it does not include Merlin. It’s more the story of Mordred and Arthur, so it traditionally not included with the trilogy. I had to go to a used book service to get the set since they were not available on Kindle. (Abe Books – I’ve found a lot of out-of-print books there over the years.)

Another funeral today. Hopefully the last for a very long time.

Today’s forecast is for 95 and that’s the highest one in the 10 day forecast. We’re even getting down into the 80’s next week. AQI is down (36) and humidity is up (18%), but I’m not complaining.

Everyone have a safe and blessed day.
