Yep, If the budget (not the final cost with all the change orders) was $300K 5 years ago, the final cost should be lower now (since we now know what we’re doing) for a similar project 7 years later. The change orders don’t matter, inflation doesn’t matter, safety regulations that make the work more complicated don’t matter, and common sense ain’t so common after all!
